# How to add sites

### Learn how to add sites/areas in Spray Diary.

Sites, also referred to as areas, paddocks, ovals, headlands, patches, etc., store essential details about land size, plant type, and variety being sprayed in the area. A single location/address can encompass multiple sites.

**TIP:** If your property features diverse plant types/varieties, it’s crucial to input multiple sites. This is especially important as plants/varieties may be at different growth stages, requiring distinct chemical product rates.

### How to add a site

1. Navigate to **Locations & Sites** -> **Sites/Areas**.
2. Click the **+ New Entry** button.
3. Enter the site information and add a location if not previously entered.
4. Click **Save**.
